After rings incident I’d rather get something else

Been using for over 6 months. Bought when we were in holiday. This camera is a worst piece of tech out there. Feels good and packaging is great but the issue lies within their connection and realiability. List of issues goes long. From not recording clip to late notification to forever loading to see the camera or to watch recorded clip. Even tho I used best of my networking technique, it still performs worst compared to $4 led bulb. These device takes couple of hours every months to make it work and sometimes that consistency doesnt even lasts a week. DONT BUY IT.

They're both pretty much worthless, But PIA SUCKS! They may be cheap, but you get what you pay for. And here's the kicker; if you happen to be connected to a VPN when you try to subscribe, not only will they decline your payment without even trying to run it, they will then flag the email you tried to use to sign up and block all further attempts to subscribe even if when you aren't connected with a VPN. Then they will blame it on your credit card or whatever payment you used, sending you down a rabbit hole chasing a problem they created. And their support agents are clueless. This is from there support page: - VPN/proxy use: If the IP address tied to the payment is associated with a VPN/proxy service, this may have caused the transaction to be flagged, and the email address used to be blocked from further payments. A VPN provider that blocks you if you use a VPN? The irony is ridiculous.

How is the sound quality, can it pick up noises coming from ceiling

I was a despatcher at ADT and I know them well. If your a smart criminal then all you need to do is activate a zone 3-4 times in one hour, ADT policy is "if a zone is activated 3 or more times in one hour disable that zone. For example walk up to a window and tap it hard and that will set of the alarm for said zone that us despatchers see on our computer and 3 or more in an hour implies a faulty sensor that needs resetting. Then there's the armed patrol ADT hires, there not that good at doing what they should do.

Horrible customer service. I say again horrible customer service. After being a customer for less than a year started having problems and it takes forever to contact them. After contacting them telling about the problem you probably will never get them. Once they sent me a link and told me to use the link and fix the problem myself. I looked at the link and it was all Greek to me. Also what ever number you dial it will not be the right number. No matter who you talk with you call back again even though you recognize the voice and teller, hey I talked with you before and this is what you told me. They will totally denied it. I could go on and on but I”ll stop here. I”ll leave you with this WARNING> DON”T DON”T DON”T PURCHASE THIS SYSTEM. IT”S HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE.

I am not happy with Simplisafe. I've had the system for many years originally monitored then unmonitored. About a month ago I started getting the dreaded blinking blue light and a message "no link to dispatch". This fault will not clear. Contacted them and found that about a month ago they made a change that caused this problem. Now my only options are to either upgrade to monitoring or replace all hardware including base station, door monitors, water sensors and motion sensors. So I now have a useless system unless I pay them more money. I will no longer recommend Simplisafe to anyone. They will likely do it again.

Blink cameras suck, it’s a blatant rip off

The Arlo Pro 4 is worthless. Absolutely will not work. Phone has spent over 96 hours "looking for your camera"... even after 2 hours of online conversation with the company, these POS's still will not come on line.. sending the worthless junk back ...

Can you delay the sensors ?for example on the garage door, without the siren goes on and you have time to go back and disarm the system?

A Brinks rep approached my door offering services. I listen to his sales pitch. He pulled hie iPad out to confirm my current alarm service was expiring. I offered to call to verify and he said no need since they handle everything. He provided me with an envelope to mail to cancel auto withdrawal from my account. 3 days later it turns out it was all a lie. I am still under contract with my current provider. I called to cancel but was told I had to pay $2800. This rep supposedly has been fired. No one will help me. I'm stuck paying 2 alarm services. I contacted the Attorney General as Brinks had committed tortious interference. Brinks willing interfered with my current provider. They are crooks. Not only did this liar enter my home he has my personal info.

The first one requires subscription. Second one requires subscription and if not, it gives so less opportunity. ( I needed to uninstall both of them) from Bangladesh.

How is the "person detection" and delay in recording if someone walks into frame

Why wasn’t I told that I would eventually have to pay for something else in order to view/ play back what the camera detected? At least to me, this makes this whole deal unacceptable!!

I followed instructions to change video recording length. When I clicked on mode only armed disarmed schedule and geofencing show. When i click on armed nothing appears about changing video recording Thanks

I go with POE IP cameras because they won’t know they are getting caught until they have an arrest warrant knocking on their door as soon as the very next day.

I bought one in 2021. The automatic camera neglected to activate every single time there was detectable motion. Only some of the time, did it take a photo of the motion in front of it. They did, however, initiate a refund immediately when I was charged for a recurring subscription.
